We have stayed at this property on multiple occasions and always enjoyed ourselves. One of our few complaints has been the condition of the carpets and we were pleasantly surprised to see that they had been recently cleaned. We also noted that all 8 of the dining table chairs were in top condition and the broken screen door to the patio had been removed and new blinds installed. The owners have made the washing machine unavailable, presumably in response to the severe water shortage in Cambria. This is understandable but the property description should be revised accordingly. We were unable to make the DVD player work but perhaps we just weren't doing it right.

I have rented from Coastal Escapes many times. This is about the 4th time I've rented this home. It is a great value although repairs keep adding up but as long as the price stays down, i am ok with it. the only thing I really wish they would have is wi-fi. So frustating. I have to go to Cambria Pines Lodge to get free wifi. I would be willing to pay another 20 or 25 dollars a night to have it. But like i said, the owner is putting very little money into improving this property.

A interior paint job would help. 1st time staying in that forest area & really loved that area as I have always stayed on the other side of the ranch in Moonstone. There are a few issues which are that the master bedroom’s only window that opens had no screen. So we didn’t open it. The sliding glass door’s screen was badly torn. Need bigger garbage cans. My six sisters and I stayed at the 330 Jean location to celebrate our annual reunion. The house was light and area with plenty of room for us in the 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath set up. However a few issues concerned us as follows: the carpet was very dirty and required deep cleaning. Several areas in the kitchen should touched up with paint. In addition, the large octagon window in the upstairs shower has a coating that is too thin and revealing when showering in the evenings!! Finally, it should be noted in the property details that NO cell phone service is available in the area. Very in convenient. All in all we enjoyed our stay and after the owners make the recommended changes without increasing the rental cost, it would be one of the best values in the area.

Overall, the house are a good house, especially for the price. Kitchen was well equipped, tv, fireplace, plumbing worked well. The only problem was the hot tub did not work. It wouldn't heat up. SO if you're interested in this property for that purpose, I would advise you to call ahead to see if it's working properly. Home was very clean, not too far from the ocean but difficult to get to. Keep in mind the home does not have internet and you will lose reception after leaving HWY 1. There are several turns to get to the home so I would advise you print directions or take screen shots to and from the home if you are not familiar with the area.

Our family of 6 stayed here. We found this last minute and everyone at Coastal Escapes was amazingly helpful. They gave us great tips on family friendly restaurants, playgrounds, and easy beach walks for the kids. The house was perfect, split level, 2 beds downstairs, and master upstairs. The master closet is huge, and we used it as a little nursery for our baby. House was stocked with plenty of blankets and pillows, full kitchen, including non-stick spray and seasonings. 3 bathrooms, shower upstairs had good shower pressure, tub/shower combo downstairs for kids. Kitchen table sat 6, there are extra chairs around and the kitchen bar sat a few, there is a highchair at the bar. Would have loved a propane grill outside, but there is a charcoal BBQ available, and a patio table on the deck. There are stairs right off the kitchen/living room area, but we were able to childproof those with the coffee table. All the rooms are spacious and the living room is nice and big. Hot tub was fun for the kids. A block away is a great path along the cliffs of the ocean, easy stroller walk and lots of stops to stop. There is an empty lot behind the house and across the street, so lots of room for the kids to run around - and in the mornings kids loved watching deer in the empty lots. Overall we had a great stay, and will be back again next year.

We would have liked a home closer to the beach with beach access. Otherwise the home was very nicely furnished with excellent beds and furnishings, spotless kitchen and bathrooms. The carpets, however, desperately needed cleaning due to the fact there had been quite a party two weeks prior to our arrival. We were given only one key and no garage door opener. We feel the carpets could have been cleaned and keys and garage door opener replaced in that time.
