We (4 people - 2 couples) had a great time at the home on Charing! There are two large rooms upstairs with en-suite bathrooms which was perfect for us. Both rooms also had nice ocean views (better than the pictures). There is a third bedroom with two double beds that we didn’t use and an extra bathroom upstairs (and one downstairs). The house was extremely clean. The house also seemed to be upgraded based on the photos. The house is nicer than the photos! Although a little hilly we walked to the beach and down town areas from the house. Just to note, the driveway is steep so walking (and driving) up it is a little tougher than a normal driveway.

But this house is very nice and perfect place to stay in Cambria!

What a beautiful & charming place 6094 Charing Lane is! The house is wonderful and kept to a very high standard by it's owners! The rooms are spacious, modern & run with a whimsical nautical theme. Charing by the sea has a great location looking down into the ocean and at night the sunsets are incredible! This is the first time we've stayed at 6094 Charing, normally we rent 516 Plymouth Street, and we would definitely stay again and absolutely recommend this vacation property to family & friends. The only negative issue we found, and it's no fault of the owners, was the driveway into the garage is very steep and not suitable for lower slung cars (our BMW 440i could not ascend the driveway without scraping the front & rear of the car) and street parking is very tight with the locality being hilly! So, important customer feedback to the property management company, 'Coastal Escapes' make sure the driveway/parking issues are made clear on their website! To finish up...a beautiful & wonderful vacation rental, Charming Charing, in Cambria by the Sea!

I noticed that the stove knob needs to be replaced on the stove, you can’t tell if it’s on or off. This can be very dangerous if it is left on due to the knob not working properly. I rented this house for my children and their children to stay in for our annual event that we have been doing since my parents moved here in 1984. The house was in a perfect location, close to town so my grandson could ride his bike too and also the beach which we could walk down too. The view from the house and all the rooms was great. Everything that you needed for a nice stay, it was comfortable, very homey, the kitchen was stocked with everything that you would need. We had a great stay, in fact I have already rented it for next Labor Day weekend.
One minor drawback, the dreaded ants, they invaded us in many rooms of the house. Spraying the ant spray in the twin bed room was not acceptable because my youngest grandkids were in there.

The home was lovely and more than big enough for me and two friends. We picked straws for the bedrooms and alas, I made the reservation but got last choice, lol. Still, even the twin bed was comfortable. The rooms were spacious and clean and we were very happy there. Just some minor inconveniences/suggestions--master toilet was broken and we had to flush it manually by lifting tank lid, ants were sharing our space, and if you don't have a high vehicle you might scrape going up the driveway. Well equipped kitchen but we would've loved a manual orange juicer.

A great way to escape the cesert heat during the summer months. We include Cambria every summer as a get away from ths heat of Palm Springs. For a family of six, like ours, this home was well worth the 50 dollars more that it cost to rent this home instead of two hotel rooms. This home was near the beach, Hearst Castle, and town. The house is well decorated, warm, spacious and inviting; even the impossible teenagers were impressed. I believe their exact words were "this place rocks". We will be returning to this home again and definetly recommend it. The place has only one flaw; the driveway is much steeper than it looks in the photos and the garage doors are small. Don't dismiss the other comments like we did because there is no street parking. Having said that, we were able to fit our beast of an SUV, an Armada, into the garage completely with a little four wheel action and a teen holding up the garage door for the needed half inch clearance without incident.

My girlfriends planned a trip for us to the wine country to celebrate my 50th birthday. They chose the house and location and I just showed up. I've stayed in many houses over the past 30 years, most were nice and well cared for but not all pay as close attention to the little things as the owners of 6094 Charing Lane. Charing Lane is decorated and furnished as if the owners spend time there themselves. It feels like a home. The kitchen is well appointed - 5 women all cooking at the same time and we had all we needed! The fireplace is cozy, the beds are comfy and the view is wonderful. I was so comfortable I didn't want to leave, in fact, my weekend mantra was, "is this house for sale, I think I'll buy it". House was very clean and nice. The kitchen was well stocked with everthing you need to cook, bake etc.
There is no TV in the master suite but in a smaller bedroom, that was weird. Also the parking situation was bad. There is a two car garage but you can only use half of it,ok fine. The driveway is a BIG problem. It sits on a hill and we could not get our car into the garage because of the lip at the top of the driveway. So we had to park on this horible steep driveway because there is no street parking. The owners should fix the driveway so cars could pull in and park. I have a brand new Mustang and would have liked to keep it in the garage, that was one of the reasons we picked this house because it had a garage. Oh well.

The living room is furnished with beautiful cranberry sofas in a Nautical/American decor. The home is filled with games and wonderful books.And, the location is perfect-just blocks from both the beach and the west village. The owner's take pride in their home. They even left a book of their favorite family recipes!!! The house has a beautiful patio that accomodates 10 people. In addition, upstairs there is a wonderful full-enclosed balcony to sit and take in a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean. The fully-equiped kitchen was spotless. Sunsets from the master bedroom OR living room OR enclosed porch were fabulous (with or without a glass of wine). Loved it - thank you. The only reason I wouldn't recommend this home to a friend is so its not booked when we want it again!

The house was perfect, great views, clean, roomy, comfortable, met all our expectations in everyway. We were close enough to the ocean to hear the waves all night, easy to sleep to.
