POLICIES
Reservations
Reservations are accepted on the Coastal Escapes, Inc. website and by phone, at that time we will ask for a Visa or MasterCard number. We will confirm your reservation by charging your card for a $50+ tax non-refundable processing fee. There will be an additional cleaning fee, which is determined by the size of the house and the number of people in your party. There is a 12% tax on all charges. The processing, cleaning fees and their taxes are included in the rates quoted on our website. The balance owed for your reservation may be paid by personal, traveler's or cashier's check 60 days prior to arrival, we do not accept a credit/debit card of any kind for the balance owed. If your stay is 31+ days, the 12% tax will not be charged.
Check-In
Check-in is from 3:30pm to 5:00pm Monday-Saturday. Please call for Sunday check-in arrangements. If you arrive early, take a walk on the beach, stroll the town, have lunch or just relax, knowing that your rental unit is being thoroughly cleaned for your enjoyment. We can't guarantee that every unit will be available at exactly 3:30pm due to unexpected cleaning complications. Please, no early check-ins during the summer, no exceptions.
Late Check-In
If you are unable to arrive by 5:00pm, please contact our office by phone before that time to arrange for a late check-in.
Pets
No pets are allowed on premises, except at properties noted. There are well-behaved pets, but there is no mercy among coastal fleas.
Departure and Check-out
Check-out is by 11:00am. Do your dishes and take out the trash, the entire rental will then be professionally cleaned for the next guests. The house keys are to be returned to the key box or to our office.
Nightly Minimums:
Summer: 7 night minimum in Cayucos, 4 night minimum in Cambria & Morro Bay.
Holidays: 3 night minimum Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day & Columbus Day: 4 night minimum Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years.
Month long bookings are available at reduced rates during the winter months. Stays 31 days and over do not require the 12% transient occupancy tax. An additional $500 refundable security deposit is required for month long stays. CANCELLATION is required 6 months in advance. SUMMER AND HOLIDAYS ARE AT THE ON SEASON RATES.
Unit Amenities
All units include a fully equipped kitchen with pots and pans, dishes and silverware, as well as bedding and pillows (linens where noted) and at least one cable color television. MOST units have telephones, dishwashers, microwaves, washers and dryers, fireplaces, BBQs and all units are non-smoking. Call for details on specific units. A starter supply of toilet paper, paper towels and trash liners is provided to start your stay. Tenants are responsible for bringing additional supplies/cleaners. Be sure to bring your own beach towels, beach blankets and chairs. No inventory in the home is allowed at the beach. Please bring linens for the beds as well as beach and bath towels for Cayucos/Morro Bay units.
Cancellation Policy
$75 + 12% tax cancellation fee. Please call us as soon as possible. If less than 60 days notice, no refund of money paid, unless we are able to re-rent the unit for the original term. Processing fees are none refundable.
